Aniimo PC Guide: Download, Launcher, and Fixes
Aniimo on PC: where to download it, launcher troubleshooting, storage and Windows requirements, DirectX fixes, and known Intel CPU issues.
Aniimo's PC version ships through an official launcher, with the same game also available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PC client is the most demanding version in terms of setup, and Pawprint Studio publishes a long troubleshooting list for it because of that.
This page collects the practical PC details: where to download, what the launcher expects, and the fixes for the problems players actually report.
Where to Download Aniimo on PC
| Route | Notes |
|---|---|
| Official Aniimo launcher | Download from the official site; the game runs through the launcher afterwards |
| Steam | Free-to-play listing, app ID 4126040 |
| Epic Games Store | Free-to-play listing |
The official launcher installs the game into the launcher's directory by default. If you prefer a different drive, the launcher's settings allow you to point at another install folder, and the official FAQ explains how to relocate and launch from a custom directory.
PC Requirements
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Storage | At least 40 GB free |
| Drive type | SSD recommended |
| Operating system | 64-bit Windows 10 minimum |
| DirectX | DirectX 11 |
| Windows 7 or 8 | Not supported |
| 32-bit systems | Not supported |
The 64-bit Windows 10 minimum is a hard floor rather than a recommendation. The official FAQ notes that devices below it may fail to install, launch, or display the game correctly, and that 32-bit systems cannot run it at all.
For the full recommended specification, see our Aniimo system requirements breakdown, which covers the CPU, GPU, and memory targets the developer published.
Common PC Problems and Their Fixes
Pawprint Studio's launch FAQ groups PC issues by stage. The fixes below come from that document.
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Download progress stuck at 0% or stalled | Restart the PC, or run the launcher as administrator and press Update Game again |
| Antivirus blocks the launcher or reports an extraction failure | Allow the files or add them to the trust list |
| "Failed to load il2cpp" after clicking Start Game | Restore the quarantined game files from your antivirus logs and retry |
| Launcher update stuck around 94% | It is verifying resources; wait, or restart the launcher |
| Black screen after updating from an older build | Launcher Settings → Quick Repair, then restart |
| Empty white screen with no logo | Install DirectX 11 and restart the game |
| Launcher window larger than the screen | Lower display scaling; at 1080p keep it at or below 125% |
| Game file verification errors or a loading freeze | Quick Repair from launcher settings, then reinstall the launcher if it persists |
| Login errors | Move the install to a path without non-alphabetic characters |
Two of those deserve emphasis. Antivirus false positives are the source of several unrelated-looking failures, including the il2cpp error, so checking quarantine logs resolves problems that look like crashes. And install paths with non-Latin characters can break login and in-game payments, which is why the official guidance is to use an all-English path.
Intel 13th and 14th Generation CPU Issues
The official FAQ documents a hardware-level problem rather than a game bug: certain 13th- and 14th-generation Intel processors can degrade over time, causing crashes, unexpected exits, freezes, graphical glitches, and out-of-VRAM errors during play.
The developer links Intel's own statement on the instability reports and publishes a separate support article with the fix. If you are on one of those CPUs and seeing crashes, that article is the starting point rather than a reinstall.
Beta Clients Cannot Be Reused
If you still have a client from a closed beta test, it will not work with the live game. Uninstall the old build first, then download and install the current launcher and client. Antivirus software can leave parts of the old install behind, so a clean uninstall is worth the extra minute.
Accounts and Progress on PC
The PC build follows the same account rules as every other platform: three regional servers with independent progress, cross-platform progress inside a server, and linking through an Aniimo Pass email.
If you played a beta test and used a Steam account, you can link it to your Aniimo Pass email for test rewards. The prompt appears at first launch, and the link can also be completed later from the in-game Email Link page.

My game crashes on a 13th or 14th generation Intel CPU. What should I do? That is a documented processor stability issue rather than a game bug. The official FAQ links Intel's statement and a dedicated fix article.
